Introduction
Debbie Lam is a talented designer based in Hong Kong, holding a BA (Hons) in Design (Environment & Interior Design) from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She also had the opportunity to study Interior Design Residential at the University of the Arts London.
With a diverse background in the arts, Lam has gained valuable experience as a versatile designer in various contemporary art galleries and private museums. Her artistic journey is heavily influenced by the work of James Turrell, whose philosophy resonates with her desire to create immersive experiences for her audience: "My desire is to set up a situation to which I take you and let you see. It becomes your experience."
Lam's early artworks in acrylic and canvas featured a more figurative style. However, following her studies at PolyU, her work evolved into more intriguing compositions, often utilizing black and white pen and watercolor. Currently, she is exploring oil pastels, channeling her daily emotions and experiences into her art, with themes frequently centered around family, relationships, and emotional depth.
De's Art Den is excited to showcase Lam Yi-ting, Debbie's unique artistic vision, inviting viewers to engage with her evolving body of work.
