Introduction

Kary Tam is a distinguished fashion photographer and designer based in Hong Kong. Tam is a proud graduate of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Design. With a profound interest in fashion, Tam travels globally, seeking inspiration and engaging in dialogues that delve into the complexities of the human experience. Her work is often sensational, characterized by a masterful use of color, emotion, and composition.

A product of two cultures, Tam draws inspiration from Chinese aesthetics, as well as from abstract expressionism, which significantly informs her unique aesthetic. She currently employs both the film and Canon digital cameras in her photography.

A selection of Tam's images is available as limited edition fine art prints, showcasing her artistic vision. Her passion for old digital cameras has culminated in establishing an online platform (retro.futuristic_) dedicated to vintage photography. This initiative has evolved from sharing her work to promoting vintage cameras, including joining The Heath and HKBU AVA BA Graduation Show Market, cooperate project: Offline Friends by Niclaw, held at the Music Room of Terrible Baby, Eaton Hotel Hong Kong.
